Lord Byron
Had my pre-booked flu jab done in Southwell Boots today. Was slighly miffed that I had to pay as apparently the governments promised free jabs for over 50's had not come into effect yet. The chemist (as I ) beleives the country will run out of the vials so pleased to have got myself done (wife going next week).
My daughter started a new team leader type role at Amazon today, not sure how she got on yet. Going to be difficult working 12 hour shifts with a 1 year old son, but at least she's on days.
Pictured is the home of Lord Byron from 1803-1808 and a plaque describes him as Poet and Defender of Liberty. Another plaque shows that the house was used as a VAD Military Hospital during the first world war. The Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) was staffed by civilian volunteers and not under the control of the military.
Have shown the former plaque before

but this is the whole building pictured from the burgage.
