Ancient oaks...

...growing on an ever more ancient burial mound.

I've photographed these before I know, I went there for a specific purpose today. I wanted to try my newly acquired 90mm large format lens at various apertures to get a feel of how it performs.

f16 seemed to give the nicest results... and the photo fits for mono-Monday.

It's been another lovely day and hopefully tomorrow will be too as Tom and Claire are coming over for a birthday celebration.
