Owls at Birdland

Birdland asked us to take some images of their new "parliament of owls" today and some of the individual owls too. The spectacled owls were high in the cage and in shade and we were very frustrated with having to hike up the ISO. I must say Rob's D850 out performed the old D800 in the low light. However I did really like this shot of the owl with its eyes closed, it has a painterly feel I enjoy. I did go back in the afternoon and got another shot which I think Birdland will be happy with (extras) and also spotted a couple of feathered friends you might recognise wandering around the paths near me.
