My New Toy

I've been wanting a mini incinerator for ages but never got round to buying one. Well now I have!
We accumulate quite a bit of waste paper like kitchen roll and tissues etc on the boat and as there's only room for a tiny kitchen bin it means I can now just burn it. I just lit it for the first time and it gave me such pleasure to see the flames and smoke! It doesn't take much to keep me happy!

It's a beautiful day that started off very misty.
I have spring bulbs to plant so that will be today's task.

Yesterday was also lovely, though with a cool breeze. I'm a bit ashamed to say I sat indoors all afternoon watching very, very favourite film - Dr Zhivago. The original  with Julie Christie  and Omar Sharif (drool :-b). Frank and Bella were out so I had the boat to myself and knitted while I watched it 

I made dinner last night (that's rare!) I made bubble and squeak with all our own produce - spuds, carrots, finely chopped kale with caraway seeds and fried onions all mashed together with oat milk and Flora Buttery (it's vegan!) and salt and pepper then served with vegan sausages and brown sauce - YUMMEEE! 
For lunch today I'll make the leftover mash into patties and fry them.

I'm going out into the sunshine now - hope everyone is well and also enjoying the sunshine.
