A new toy!
Evil grandmother! Katy and Jon brought the girls over today to see great - nana and have lunch.
We had a picnic lunch of sandwiches in the lounge and I noticed rather a lot of crumbs around afterwards. So, said I, I've got a great new toy for you Eilidh... and out came the dust buster. She enjoyed it so much she did the kitchen floor too. Nice girl!! Welcome any time, lol.
Stayed around the house today mostly apart from a quick sortie down to Craigleith. I thought I'd ask at Boots about booking an appointment for a winter flu vaccination, rather than sit in the car for an unspecified length of time at the designated place for our GP surgery. No chance. 'Fully booked for the foreseeable future' says the assistant. 'What's the foreseeable future' I asked, 'Don't know' she says and went off to ask. 'End of November!' she said.... That doesn't sound good, guess I'll be sitting in the GP carpark queue after all, vaccinating in Scotland doesn't even start till the 28th September.
Keep safe everybody, please. It's all starting to sound very familiar but this time we should know what to do in order to keep safe. For some reason though that knowledge doesn't seem to have made any difference to some people!
