Weston Shore

After a few glasses of wine last night, slept pretty well, woke up with a bit of a headache but nothing a couple of paracetamol couldn't sort out.

Cloudy early on and definitately cooler than forecast. Breakfast was fruit & yoghurt, then we swapped the shorts & tees for jeans.......before we jumped in the car and headed off out for a few hours.

We parked down on Weston Shore, overlooking the Solent, then went for a walk along the front towards Netley, we hoped to pop in to see the Abbey, but it was closed at the weekends just now :-/

On our walk back, we passed through the Weston Sailing Club where lots of small catarmarans were being launched for some kind of regatta or race. All very colourful, perfect opportunity for a sunny Sunday blip:-)

We walked to the far end of the shore where there is a little cafe. We sat outside with a cappucino for a while before the four of us walked back to the car, by which time the skies were blue and the sun was very warm, we were wishing we had stuck with our shorts ;-)

Back home, changed and sat outside for the afternoon, lovely bacon sandwich for lunch.
Hub, his sis and BiL were all as equally disappointed with their teams performance this afternoon as I was last night......we are all dispondent lol!

Four O'clock was fizz time....... we sat in the sun, chatting, putting the world to rights, as you do.

A late Sunday Roast Dinner has just been demolished, very nice and now we are all sat in front of the tv, looking forward to watching "Us".

In case you are wondering, yes, my little toe is very sore, almost as colourful as my blip ;-)
