I enjoyed an afternoon walk through the park and along the riverside. I hoped to spot the dipper but all I saw was a crow on a rock. 

In extras there's a view across the play area to St Mary's Church with Wansfell beyond. 

In the park two visitors decided I looked local and asked for directions to Rydal Cave. They were using maps on their phones but had no idea which direction to go in.  I thought I'd also better give them an idea of how long it would take. 

Not as many people around today. Perhaps a lot had gone to the coast.
