Golden moments
I took Mum up to Loch Thom (extra) for a bit of fresh air today, so good to get out of the house. I thought it would be quite an easy place to walk, but even the slight inclines were too much for her. Still, we got ice creams from the wee angling club cafe, and Mum sat on a stone bench in the sun for a wee while whilst I went wandering with the dog. When I cam back, she commented on the tree (2nd extra) and how she had been admiring the structure of it against the sky.
After picking Andrew up from his Dad's house, and dropping Mum off, I noticed how lovely the light was at the Knapps Loch (main photo) on the way out of the village. Its such a beautiful spot, but we are usually too busy rushing back home to stop. So tonight we stopped and walked round it for a bit. A couple of swans were dabbling for food, a flock of geese were making a pit stop, some wagtails were flying around at the edge of the Loch. It was well worth the stop.
