Water droplets

Having been late to blip for yesterday, I am fairly early for today (i.e. I'm doing it pre-dinner).

We met up with our dinner companions of yesterday, for a lovely walk in the Pentlands. We took them on the Harlaw, Threipmuir and Black Hill circular (which we generally do anti-clockwise), and did it clockwise from the Threipmuir car park (because we were worried about getting parked at Harlaw). It was busy, busy, busy, but still when we were up on Black Hill we were largely in solitude. And everyone was being very sensible, of course. We wore masks in the car.

I've kept the macro/28mm prime combination lens on the camera, and I am *very* pleased with the results. My blip and one of the extras shows the macro capabilities. The other extra illustrates the landscape capabilities of the prime lens. So lovely to be able to switch from one to another. The landscape extra also shows the ambiguity of the light. The cloud was down low over the Pentlands this morning, and we couldn't see them from the balcony. It was spitting with rain as we drove up there, and for most of the walk the weather stayed fairly gray but rather sultry. As we walked up Black Hill it got warmer and warmer, and plenty of clothing was shed by everyone. The latter part of the walk was extremely pleasant, with plenty of blue sky.

C and K came back to the flat afterwards and we threw together a scratch lunch, which was much appreciated by four hungry walkers. Afterwards they headed back to their son's flat for a quiet afternoon and evening. We've been catching up with various bits and pieces, notably in my case photo editing.

And now I'm waiting for my dinner, which is goat tagine. I don't complain about eating badly!

The day's pictures are at the beginning of this album of Pentland Walks.
