Going for the Younger Model

Just in case you think I've not been doing anything on the Mini's engine.... Methodically doing my own detailing (the respray of the engine block is now almost complete), sprucing up parts that just need a little TLC, and replacing others (in this case the water pump, and all the water hoses being replaced with silicone versions, which are a bit more flexible, and longer-lived).

Things will start going back together in the next day or two, only punctuated by cleaning out the engine bay, and replacing the front suspension (much easier while the engine is out).
