Rowan

Always nice to see the rowan change, but sadly it's getting weaker and weaker every year. We removed some deadwood from the centre of it earlier in the year. It's a kind of squashed together multistem, so suffers from rot at the base where the water collects. Other than a box hedge and a tiny square of lawn, it was the only thing in the garden when we moved, and it is the only tree, so I am quite attached too. Time to find a successor or two I think.

We had a nice time at a small birthday gathering in Peebles today. The children from our two families get on very nicely, and I am very fond of L, so it works quite nicely! They have a fantastic garden with lots of things to climb and explore.
