BUTTER & EGGS

I was at the track all day, again, shooting vintage automobile races. Beautiful weather today...but some long pauses while the safety crews and maintenance workers clean up the track when there's an oil spill. Oil on a track is bad for traction so has to be cleaned up to avoid serious accidents. This happens all too frequently with old vintage racers...they leak! So...to amuse myself while waiting, I shoot pretty flowers around the track. 

This is Yellow Toadflax (Linaria vulgaris). The locals call it Butter and Eggs. If you look closely, I think you can see how it got that name.
