Terry Fox. Marathon of Hope. Canadian Hero. He set out to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research after he lost his leg to the disease. He made it to Thunder Bay, Ontario before the cancer came back again - this time in his lung. I was lucky to see him run through my home town which I’ll never forget. It was very early morning, and the only sound you could hear was his breathing and the scuff of his leg as he ran past. It was emotional to visit his memorial today perched high above Lake Superior. Last month was the 40th anniversary of his having to stop here in Thunder Bay
