233 Years of Layers
After a sedentary work day, I needed a bit of exercise, so decided to tackle the peeling paint in my bathroom. I thought that would involve a little scraping but mostly sanding, before new paint was applied. But to my surprise, when I started gently scraping, layers and layers of paint and old wallpaper started peeling away, all the way down to the original plaster from 1780. What fun! Perhaps I should have been an archaeologist.
