Posh Nosh

As this is a back blip a quick update on last few days as no blips were taken. I did go into work on Tuesday but I think really I should have stayed at home. Felt bit better by Wednesday but still full of cold. Gradually improved as week has gone on, a little snuffly and cough (No not virus) but ok.

I booked a little French restaurant in Wimbledon village for Js birthday, our holiday buddies. We met in the pub where we do quiz, our first visit since before lockdown. Then onto the restaurant 2 minutes up the road. J & I had a gin cocktail before our starters and finished the meal with an espresso martini. The food was delicious but we ordered some roast potatoes to come with the main that they forgot about and by the time they brought them out we had finished eating (and baby new potatoes cooked in their skins are not what I call roast potatoes) and they brought out a happy birthday plate with ice cream on it for J, a lovely gesture but it came as we were paying the bill and not with the desserts (as J didn’t have one).  A lovely evening with J & S but a little disappointed with a couple of aspects of the restaurant.
