Land Of Legends
It has been a sad day in our family. Amy the Pug was diagnosed with a kidney disease already before she was a year old. She has lived on special food since, but yesterday my sister and nephews had to say goodbye to her at the vets. She peed indoors because she produced too much urine and she didn't want to go on walks anymore - it was time.
I talked to my sister in the morning and they are coping. They have made a lovely grave for her in the garden.
The boys and I spent the day in Land Of Legends.
Sagnlandet Lejre (Land Of Legends) or as it is also called Centre for Historical-Archaelogical Research and Communication was etablished in 1964 as an archaeological research station in a unique moraine landscape with woodland, lakes, bogs and fields near Roskilde. It is a center, where professionals from within cultural-historical disciplines can do their research, but also an open air museum, where people of all ages can experience our ancestors’ daily life from the ice age and up till the viking age. It is a great place to visit.
Once you have payed entrance, you can come back as often as you wish that same year. It is 45 mins drive from where we live, so I don't walk there every day, but it is a nice place to go for a special weekend walk.
We spent 3 hours there and both dogs and owner were tired, when we came back to the car. There is so much for little Baby Tango to look at and experience. Today he met pigs, sheep and a horse. Plus of course a lot of people.
My main picture is from a monument from the Viking Age. There are more pictures in the extra.
See you tomorrow
