Moody Blue, At Home

This image is one of the pieces of glassware that my brother has bought from Rye Art Gallery in East Sussex. I took this image using advice from a column in the i newspaper about paying attention to light when you are taking photographs of food. I know this is not food but I think the same principle applies - it advises you to stay away from artificial household lighting and photograph during the daytime on a sunny day, finding a window that is way from direct sunlight and perhaps use a thin curtain (I took  this with a net curtain as the backdrop) to diffuse the rays and create a soft light - which I hope I have achieved.
The title also relates to a disappointing visit we had to our local pub. We only went in for a drink but appeared to be at what me and my brother call "the invisible table". We were the only people inside (most people were sitting outside) but appeared to be ignored - we asked for a second drink after receiving the first but it never materialised and we then had to wait ages to receive the bill despite asking for it twice (it was table service only). We eventually received the bill but left somewhat downhearted at the poor level of service.
