Cream...
…………….….....……..Horns
After yesterday’s inclement weather we woke to a warm sunny spring day. By this afternoon threatening clouds were gathering!
This afternoon we visited Viv’s Kitchen on the main road of Sanson, NZ, for one of their specialties - melt in your mouth cream horns. They are well known for this delightful treat.
Don’t you just love their roadside form of advertising!
Then it was back to Himatangi and entertainment on the local beach. Motorbikes and utes had obviously gathered and spent hours on the beach racing up and down the long flat stretches of sand and performing ‘donuts’. Tyre tracks were everywhere and they were still in action as we walked along the beach with Teddy & Poppy, the dogs featured in my blip several days ago.
Dogs and walkers were also well represented, along with families and ‘regular’ normal vehicles. One driver miscalculated and managed to get his car stuck in running water at the mouth of the local stream with an incoming tide! Eventually he was towed out to the tarseal road.
Thank you very much for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s selection of photos from our scenic drive.
