Such a shame

Every day I go out, I drive by this cross and have done for over 2 years. I could see the flowers and the poppy and I wondered why a war memorial would be in basically the middle of nowhere. Well today I stopped and had a look. It's not a good story

Twenty years ago, three students from the local high school were driving home and hit some black ice. No-one survived and their classmates had this memorial erected for them.

Makes you think, doesn't it. 

There's no "Ah well" about this.
