Lest We Forget

Veterans Park shows respect for those who fought and died for their country. I have often walked past the park on the way to work.

The sky was the bluest of blues this particular morning. As I approached the park, the sun was just about to appear over a building. However, its rising glow made the statue of a Doughboy (WWI American infantryman) particularly beautiful.

It's a lovely little park, with its eclectic monuments and thought-provoking inscriptions.
