Horseshoe Falls

One year ago I was just over having my broken ankle surgery and healing time so we went out to  this waterfall so I could get in a short walk that was in the woods.  A little more water flowing than last year as we just had that big rain from Sally.     The photos from that day last year are here.

Today I went back to this waterfall just to celebrate a great recovery of that broken ankle.  I probably have walked over 500 miles since I started walking again back in September of 2019.    Even with the lockdown and social distancing, I was able to get out to trails and places where there were not too many people and have hiked anywhere from 4-10 miles on a hike.     This was all before the hot summer weather started when I do not hike.   No it is time to get out again as the weather finally started cooling off.  

It felt good for this old girl to be on the trail again at the same place as last year!
