British Humanist Association Darwin Day lecture

Introduction by Richard Dawkins, and given by Sir Tom Blundell. I can't pretend to have understood all of it, but basically it was about the ability of viruses to mutate/evolve very quickly to foil the actions of drugs.

Rather than strive to keep finding newer drugs at great expense, the way forward may be to find a way of interfering with the evolutionary process.
