Crane

I semi-retired at the beginning of the year and reduced my working days to 2 per week. I usually work both days from home so my commuting time has reduced to zero.

The only downside is I hardly move all day. This evening, when I finished I went out for a walk down into the village and back home via the canal.

The Bridgewater canal follows the contours so there are no locks. These cranes are at various points along the route. They are used to put boards in to dam the canal in the event of it being breached.
