Border

For the second day in a row we found ourselves crossing the U.S./Mexico border at San Ysidro. Yesterday we were in a two hour queue of vehicles like the one shown here, today we joined hundreds of others waiting to walk across into the United States. The wait was just as long, a little over two hours this time, but much less comfortable having to stand the entire time (much of the time in direct sun). It is hard to fathom that many of the essential Mexican workers have to do this every day. Once was more than enough for us.
