Alderford Lake

Took advantage of this stunning weather to spend the day at Alderford Lake. We arrived in time for coffee. Then walked around the lake, spending time on a bench to stop and stare. Then had a delicious lunch followed by (after 1 hr allowing time to digest my food to stop me getting stomach cramps and drowning!) an amazing swim.
The water was just lovely. It was silky and warm and there was just me and the moorhens and ducks and the odd dragon fly skimming along the surface of the water. The sun danced on the water and it was bliss. No Covid, no Brexit, no economic crisis, just PEACE.
