Wildflower

I have no idea what this flower is or the beetle that seemed to be enjoying it. They were all over the side of the road and partway under the trees. I think the leaves look like they may be viburnum relatives ,but they were mostly about 2 feet high  at the most. They seemed to prefer shade. And as many times as I have walked up Fallow Brook Rd I have never seen these before and they were all over the lower part of the hill. ???? Posting this a day late. Went grocery shopping tonight which took up hours and got me home at dusk. groceries do not make an interesting blip  ;)
