Wide Wednesday: Minimalism

Cathy and I took a walk along the river Avon earlier this evening, once the sun's heat had gone off.  The conditions were idyllic, the temperature was perfect for walking.  We stopped along the way to gather a few blackberries for the freezer - there's just something about the blackberry and apple combination that is delicious and well worth the very minor effort involved in gathering the fruit.  

What a fabulous Summer it has been here in the UK.  Of course, the downside to this lovely warm weather that we have been having is the terrible weather that the western seaboard of the USA has been experiencing and the terrible forest fires.  I don't see how anyone can doubt that climate change is at work, but it does seem surprising how little the American media seems to be picking up on that, from what little we see of it here in the UK.
