Rainbow orchid

I have cracked the routine for getting orchids to flower and always have one or two in bloom. They make great foreground subjects for practising light trails when I teach people about long exposure, and they are pretty on the windowsill.  
I did some weeding this afternoon and have been meaning to mention that my new scourge of the garden is creeping buttercup. I thought they were pretty in the spring but it's only recently I have realised how invasive their root system is. Some have ingrained themselves into the lawn. Next year I'll be digging them up at the first appearance.
