So today I ventured down to Leyton with Mark. And a fridge, a freezer, furniture, cutlery & crockery ..... and a few bits more. We met Polly who, laden with a bed, mirrors, baby clothes & newborn essentials, took us to visit folks in emergency housing; a man and his sick son and a couple with a newborn who have been shunned by their families & community. So today we have seen a harsher side of life experienced by so many. At this morning’s feeding project Polly and their outstanding team fed 50 families with basic provisions. And this afternoon she gave hope, and care, and a listening ear and some basic provisions to two needy families. And all this in London. So often, the worst of life brings out the best in people. Thank you Polly and all those who serve and love and listen and hope and help alongside you.
