One man's peace
I had a saunter along one of my "other" beaches this morning, at Malua Bay, but not before a golden labrador on the foreshore took an overfriendly snap at my hand and drew blood. I drove into town and had a tetanus shot at the hospital A & E, to be on the safe side, and also was put on a course of antibiotics.
The morning was too good to waste, though, and I picked up where I'd left off at Malua. The beach is never exactly crowded with fisherfolk, and today there was only one. He didn't give any sign of wanting me to share his space - fair enough - and so I couldn't tell whether he was having any success. But I did. After collecting my medication at Batehaven Pharmacy, we had flathead and chips in the park at Corrigan's Beach.
