Earrings
I saw these Edwardian gold and diamond earrings in an antique jewellers in Blackheath but didn't buy them as my usual form is costume jewellery. It didn't take long to wish I had and friend S was going to Blackheath the following weekend and picked them up. We coordinatrd trains, hers down from the mountains, mine the three stops to Central Station where we would meet.
I left M in the pub and headed for the station - three minutes. Caught train, got to Central - six minutes. Met S at her exit; she opened the box - yep, they were the right earrings - five minutes. Back to platform 22, waited one minute for the train, got on, got off, walked back to pub - nine minutes.
So in less than half an hour I was a pair of special earrings happier. It was like a sting operation. M was much as I'd left him, although his beer was probably a new one.
Thanks for hosting MaryElizaR. Stay well all.
