Feed Me!

There had to be a lamb pic, eh? This is one of the "pets". Each ewe can happily support 2 lambs... tho often they have triplets. Until it is possible to pass one on to a single (or one who's lost some of her offspring) the orphan lambs are kept together in the pet pen. This year we did very well, there were more due triplets and twins and fewer lambs were dying (it was pretty nice weather the first wee while)... The pet lamb numbers soared.... So much so, that we had to extend the pen! Thankfully the farm had an automatic feeder, rather than bottle feeding over 30 lambs every couple hours! They still needed teaching how to suckle something that looked very un-sheeplike, but mostly managed ok.
