Road closed

Took far longer than it should today as we were heading to Scarborough via Sutton Bank and the road was closed. It would have been helpful to have a sign at the point we had to start the detour but no it was where the road was blocked and all the vehicles had turn back. Still the the detour took us through some pretty villages and we stopped for lunch at a lovely coffee barn.
Got to site had a coffee and then walked along the cliffs to Scarborough. It was so warm.
Pleased we didn't come yesterday as it was quite busy along the narrow path today.
Will walk in tomorrow but continue round to the South Bay.
Had a glass of wine while cooking dinner and actually fell asleep after clearing away, it must be the fresh air.
