Autumn sun
I think today is the perfect weather for Pickle. He has been out in the garden almost all day, moving from the sun to the shade and back again, in and out the sun all day.
Ivy had her first full day at school today. She seemed to really enjoy it. Bea should have been at preschool but I kept her home because she has a cold. No temperature or cough, just full of snot and in need of a rest day. She watched TV most of the day and played a bit, while I did a deep clean of the upstairs. Everywhere is filthy from all of the dust created by the plastering.
The kitchen fitter fitted the worktops today. They look great and he's done an amazing job, except there is a bit of a problem with the position of the sink. The plan showed it off centre but he asked me we would prefer it centered. I said yes assuming it would fit. It did fit but he hadn't accounted for the tap being able to be fitted and I wasn't aware that this is why it was off centre.... so this evening the main kitchen fitter had to come back and he and John had to work out how to get round it without having to get new worktops. They have a plan that should work. I cant help feeling partly responsible for agreeing to centre it and not realising the consequences.
I'll be glad when they are finished. I do find it stressful having tradesmen working at the house.
