Autumn...

...is advancing. This is our oak tree, planted maybe 10 years back. Most of the leaves are still green but some are completely yellow. They all look very lovely on this bright sunny day.
In the evening I was in town, walking through the town park and there the trees are also changing colour, just as they were 6 years ago in this blip.
As I look back through my autumn blips I realise that autumn is a rather stable season, usually getting going mid-September and finally finishing in mid-October. So lots of colourful trees to look forward to.
Our Betty's Veranda Rebuild project continues. Another £600 spent on materials today, including the roof beams and plastic roofing sheets. The first two roof beams are in place. I dug away a pile more earth from the deck area that will be part two of this project (more slightly aching shoulders).
We left Börje at work as we headed into town for political meetings of different types. The Works and Planning committee has its first meeting on Thursday and today's meeting was of the majority group on that committee. Nothing too controversial so it seems we will ease into that world fairly gently. These meetings are taking place physically but in rather large rooms so there is plenty of space between us, and sometimes with a restricted number of participants, but it does feel good, and much easier socially, to be sitting in the same room.
Another day with lots to be grateful for!
