Bonfire!

Craig was having a bonfire at mums today! It was a bit Smokey - so much so that one of mums friends who happened to be driving past came to check she was ok as she spotted the smoke from the road!!

We got there later than planned as we were a bit slow to get going after our late night boozing yesterday. We had some lunch and walked the dogs and before we knew it it was time to come home again.

Mum is very immobile now. The GP has been as good as useless and said he'd 'consider' sending her for an x-ray in the new year if she was still in pain. So we had to sort out something privately. She saw a consultant last week who x-rayed her straight away and the ball part of her hip is completely flat. No wonder she is in so much pain. She should be able to have the operation in November (longer wait than normal) if we go privately or wait for at least 2 years on the NHS.
