Resident-Red-Tail
Today was grey. Warm (for February in Canada), but grey.
Off to the Merganser (Miners) Marsh with Bugsie and the 70-300. No frickin' Mergansers and a ton of grey. About 2/3 of the way through our walk a red tail hawk flies over head and lands on the edge of the river. Long story short, we were able to get within 20-30 feet of this majestic raptor - maybe it was sizing up Bugsie for a rabbit-sized snack. Regardless, it allowed me to capture this pic.
