Saturday

 Not an official Silly Saturday, but what I witnessed I think counted as silly!   This little birdbath has a stone bird which sits at the side.  Most birds just ignore it and have a drink or a bath, but not the magpies.  They are nesting in the tree behind my garden, and apart from all the racket they make they always seem to be looking for something mischievous to do.  At the moment this involves landing on the birdbath or doing a fly past and knocking the little stone bird into the water.  I thought it was an accident at first so went and replaced the bird, and then went into the conservatory to watch.  They did it again!  At least it is keeping them occupied as their previous idea of fun was attacking the pointing around my bedroom window!  Hopefully this new “game” will keep them away from the windows for a while.
