St Peters church Nottingham.
We both had a day off so we decided to pop to Nottingham for the afternoon.
I planned on taking some more of my memory photos which included the church where we were married 18yrs ago this September.
I took some of the houses that we lived in. My favourite is where we lived with my nan and grandad.
When we got there I walked up the drive stopped and sobbed. I could not believe how the outside looked. It was awful. I don't think that anyone has lived there in years. It was ridiculously overgrown. It looked like a forest. I was that shocked that I went to get my hubby to show him. He said it looked like something of 'Grime fighters'
The house held so many happy memories. I remember how my grandad looked after the garden even after his first hip operation. He'd be so unhappy to see how the owner has left it to become a unsightly mess.
I remember dad saying that the person who bought the house didn't live there much. The handle was falling off the front door and the cobwebs looked older than my little Jake.
I know that some people may wonder why I have got so upset but it's so sad that a happy place has now gone to rack and ruin.
So my photo memory of this particular house will remain a memory rather than a photographic one.
Good thing that happened today -
Seeing some of the other house brought back good memories aswell as the one above but at least they still looked good too.
