Timeshifted

Today is a bit Timeshifted in several senses of the word.....

...tomorrow is the 21st Birthday of our eldest child and the time between him being born and his 21st birthday has certainly shifted at quite a pace....I can't say that it actually feels like yesterday that he was still in nappies but not far off it (where does the time go?).

...and secondly there is some timeshifting going on in that although his birthday is tomorrow we shifted the celebrations to start early tonight...basically because tomorrow he has to get up very early for me to take him into Uni before the rest of the family is awake and nobody was prepared to wait until later in the day for him to open his presents.

The birthday celebrations (so far) have had a Japanese/Far Eastern theme (which shouldn't be too much of a surprise to subscribers to my journal)....this is his anime birthday cake (the character is Konata Izumi from Lucky Star) and the presents we got him are both Japanese/Far Eastern (and will no doubt feature in future Blips).
