The line to the well pump has been replaced, but we can't test the system until there is enough sun to recharge the battery. Isn't that what the battery is for...to store power for times when there is no sun? I don't get it. At least we have power today and the sky, although smoky and raining ash, is not apocalyptic orange. As far as we can tell, any fires adding to the smoke are hundreds of miles away.

He was shown on his stationary bike unceasingly pedaling away as his voice-over intones..."Monday"...kids playing in the background. "Tuesday" ...wife vacuuming around him. "Wednesday"...wife and kids cuddled up on the couch watching television "Thursday"...kids kicking football around him "Friday"...kids riding the stationary bike...
