So it begins.
not only did this photo signify the beginning of my study break in Rome, but it also begins my arduous task of remembering what i did on which day, and then back blipping it, so bare with!
I remember setting out early for rome and having a very long travelling day of coaches and planes, but eventually i made it to Rome.
First proper stop of the touristy nature was the spanish steps. All in all they didnt seem that spanish, and i have to say i think they built them in the wrong place, however they were the proper size that steps should have been. none of this small person steps nonsense.
next in line was the Trevi fountain, or Trevor as he's affectionately known now.
Then we managed to get some proper italian grub down us, and im sure no one noticed we were tourists, despite the fact we had to order our food with finger pointing and rubbing of tummies.
Now there may have been a few fights over the map reading, and general direction of where we should go. It had gone 1. it was cold. and we split up. Myself in the group of 3 with a map. against the group of 6 with iphones and google maps.
We did actually manage to win, and were therefore burdened with directing for the rest of the break. not sure if this was a good thing or not...
