Gift

I'd noticed this olivewood bowl in the window of the Aga shop as I left the office on Friday afternoon - thought (a) how lovely it was, (b) how it would go with the olivewood salad servers we've had for years, and (c) how I wasn't going to pay that ridiculous price for a salad bowl. (I mean, the Aga shop!)

But of course, when I got home I found that my brother had passed away that afternoon - so when I noticed the bowl again today, I went in and bought it - somehow in a way I can't articulate it's a last gift from my lovely bro.
