Wild Wednesday ...

As I mentioned on Monday (my birthday!) I received a very generous gift from Richard .... a new camera lens.  The lens is a Sigma 150-600 mm lens! And, wow, what power it has ... not to mention being mega heavy!

Right now it will require a tripod to use ... and a steep learning curve! But we played with the lens today and these shots are a result.  These shots aren't even at the full 600 mm potential ... shot at 500 mm.  We were so very happy when this female Ruby-throated Hummingbird came around ... it gave me the opportunity to test the capability of the lens ... both in focus and distance.  I'd say it was a success.  Please view in large.

I had a doctor's appointment this morning ... first time going to the doctor since the start of "the virus".  I was nervous about it but the office seems to have taken a lot of precautions.  There were lots of hand sanitizers all over the place and masks were worn the entire time by everyone ... including me.
