A change of plan

A had a call from Glenfield Hospital yesterday to say that my appointment had been changed to a telephone consultation this morning, so to stay at home.  Not ideal, but the latest rise in Covid positive numbers has made them revert to this.

It was interesting answering questions posed by the young sounding doctor. He had done his homework and was very knowledgeable about my history. We had a bit of difficulty as he had quite a major stutter, but I admired his determination and tried not to finish his questions or sentences when I had the gist of what info he was after.

The outcome is that I’m being transferred back to the Lincoln team to be followed up and have my next CT scan. I should get a copy of the referral letter so that I can make sure that things go to plan. Had I been seen at Leicester today I would have had an ECG, chest X-ray and bloods, so that my drugs could be reduced.

It was good not to have the 2.5 hr round trip in the car, but I was looking forward to spending the time with R and catching up on all the news. Also just to get out and about and see the countryside.
