Calf & Car

Sometimes farmers here leave a derelict car in the middle of a field in the fond belief that it will deter geese from landing and feeding, as they will suspect it full of shooters. It doesn't work. This car, though, was some kind of rally car at one point because it has numbers painted on the side. The cattle use it as a scratching post. I walked along the shore from Stromness for a few kms. A flock of about 200 curlews was nice in the sun.
