That's What I Want

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

A programme just came on the telly which played "Money (That's What I Want)" by The Flying Lizards. 

I love that song. In fact I just like that time in music. The late 70's/early 80's and this is probably something to do with the age I was at the time. Bands like Martha and The Muffins, The Vapors and The Cars. 

It is "my jam". As the young people would have it. 

My friend Mike Simcox had The Vapors album, "New Clear Days"* and we used to go skip school meals and go to his house to listen to it. I'm not sure if they were good songs or not, but it was the first music I listened to as a teenager.

It was already out of date. Oh well. 

I have a playlist on my phone called, "Sounds of the Suburbs" which has about two hours of that sort of thing. I listen to it occasionally and it simultaneously makes me feel happy/like an old bastard. 

I might have to stick that on tomorrow. That'll get me through the commute.
