Yellow Rose

I wasn’t sure if this little yellow rose bud would survive the rain. It looked like it might rot before it had the chance to unfurl properly so when it greeted me on my way out this morning it put a big smile on my face. :)
Today went well enough. It was a beautiful day and I decided to take a lunch break and go out for a walk and a coffee in the park. I’m glad I did because I ended up working till 7pm again.
When I left school at lunch time I was surprised to see the houses being built next door nearly finished. The last time I saw them they were only wooden frames!
