Boats

A walk along the Medina to Newport today, the metropolis of the island. 

It was, how shall we say, slightly underwhelming. 

Still we had a nice lunch in a riverside pub, an adventure on the local bus back and then another beer watching the ships turning around the Bramble Bank while I explained some of the local pilotage challenges in the Solent. It was fun.

Off to a restaurant both of us thought the other wanted to go to later, which it turns out neither of us really did. There's not a massive choice as many places are closed or limiting numbers and they have a 72 hr (!)  cancellation policy so we're still going. Its an ok place, I"ve been there before
