A Trio .............

 ........... of pears in the garden.

We had intended to take out the tree as it never did much in the 20 years we've had it ...... it's a "family" tree - ie. three varieties grafted onto one tree - so a couple of years ago Himself chopped off all the branches right back to the trunk (it just looked like a pole) with the intent on digging it out - medical issues took over and it just stayed there.  
It sprouted new branches and this year we have had more pears than a pear shop!!!!!    It's staying.  It's only about nine feet tall and quite skinny so not a massive tree.
This trio and some of their siblings got cooked in brandy and were eaten with custard ......... oh so good!
